Introduction

Fake orders kill logistics. Or worse — carding. How to spot a fraudster before shipping?

10 Red Flags

  1. Email: Temp domains (temp-mail.org) or gibberish (asdf123@gmail.com).
  2. IP Address: Order from Nigeria, shipping to USA (Geo Mismatch).
  3. Proxy/VPN: Use of anonymizers.
  4. Order Value: 3-5x higher than average check on first order.
  5. Time: Order placed at 3 AM local time? Suspicious.
  6. Velocity: Form filled in 500ms (Bot).
  7. Address: PO Box or Freight Forwarder.
  8. Card Testing: Trying 3-4 different cards.
  9. Phone: VoIP number (Google Voice) instead of mobile.
  10. Capslock: "JOHN DOE" often means copy-paste from card.
